Spotlight: Sub-Saharan Africa

Topics from Sub-Saharan Africa, especially East Africa, are at the center of my journalistic work.

In my reporting I follow a holistic approach. I try to pick topics – or aspects of a certain topic – which I hold to be underreported.

I work with long-term, in-depth researches, for example on albinism and colonial heritage. I come from writing and photography but in 2016 I have presented my first short documentary portraying the sister city partnership of Mwanza in Tanzania and Würzburg in Germany.

Currently I am working on a multimedia- and comics journalism project on albinism in Tanzania.
Part of this project is also an exhibition which will be showcased in Germany and Tanzania.
